The Cooperative The Lecceto was founded in 1984 by a small group of growers of these territories. The terrible and devastating frost of 1985 produced incalculable damage to crops.

Nevertheless, the tenacity, the desire, the passion and commitment of administrators, assistants, farmers, scientific centers and research allowed full recovery production without altering the profiles of a unique landscape and obtaining a product, the Extra Virgin Olive Oil, from profiles excellent quality and hardly uguagliabili and still at the top of the national production.
